Direct Support Professional (DSP)

DSPs provide support for individuals with disabilities in community-based residential homes and family support services. DSPs assist individuals with daily living skills development, health and wellness management, behavioral and communication development, personal cares and community involvement.

Direct Support Aide (DSA)

As a DSA, you will provide support for individuals with disabilities in community-based residential homes and family support services. You will assist individuals with daily living skills development, health and wellness management, behavioral and communication development, personal cares and community involvement. 

DSAs are 17 years of age, and no older than 18 years of age.

Team Leader

As a Team Leader, you will provide training and mentorship to Direct Support Professionals and Direct Support Aides. You will work directly with your Supervisor in working with your team to support the needs of individuals with disabilities.

Supervisor

As a supervisor, you will manage your designated program and oversee the areas of individual support, medical needs, program support, and supervisory duties, while maintaining effective with appropriate team members and staff.

OPEN NURSING POSITIONS

All nursing positions require a valid Driver’s License and satisfactory motor vehicle record.

Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

As a Residential House Nurse, you will coordinate and provide nursing care and medical support to individuals with disabilities supported at Hiawatha Homes. You will integrate health-related needs into the daily plans and activities of the individuals supported.

The Development Associate manages special events, manages the Hiawatha Homes (HH) volunteer program, and provides administrative support to the Hiawatha Homes Foundation office and donor database.
