Hiawatha Homes opened its doors because a group of concerned parents and community members had a vision for a place where individuals with disabilities would be treated as a person first.

The founders dreamed of quality, loving, comprehensive and individualized care for each person. Now more than forty-five years later, the number one goal is still the same: provide quality care for individuals.
